Asking people for money is awkward. We wanted to design an upgrade experience that felt trustworthy by showcasing value-add features with clear upgrade triggers throughout the product, as well as transparent plan tiers.

Reverse Free Trial

The billing model we created offers a free-forever plan with a trial to start. This allows a user to come into the product without payment speed bumps, explore and use the entire feature stack, and then seamlessly downgrade once their trial is over. On the design side, it was really important for us to convey to the user that all of their work was saved and maintained regardless of their current plan.
