Slack Redesign
The 2020 Slack redesign started with a mobile redesign pitch with the promise of improvements and alignment to the desktop apps. The two main goals were to provide non-technical users with a predictable and seamless experience across mobile and desktop platforms, and to internally create a more scalable architecture enabling teams to spend more time building thoughtful features and less time trying to figure out where to plug them into the interface.
With 18 million weekly active users, and a near even split of roughly 11 million active across mobile and desktop, the redesigns were successfully launched in May 2020, earning me a third "Inventor" title for the newly patented navigation.
